Position: Senior Management Accountant

Location: Wimbledon, with Hybrid working (3 days per week on site)

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours / Permanent

Salary: up to £60,000 per annum, dependant on experience.

The London office based in Wimbledon is home to the design and technical centre with manufacturing capabilities for Europe located in Donegal, Ireland. Due to continued growth, the Company is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join the team.

The company formerly Rapid Action Packaging (RAP) was acquired by ProAmpac, US packaging group, in January 2021.

Role and Responsibilities

The Senior Management Accountant will be assisted by a team of 4 accounts staff, two of which are located in Ireland. He/she will report to and provide support to the Financial Controller in the following areas:

• Support with the preparation of monthly management accounts and consolidation of the UK and Irish operations
• Oversee monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet items and stock counts
• Weekly and monthly reporting to the US parent company
• Assist in monitoring the operational performance through providing detailed operational analysis
• Support budget and forecasting activities
• Support the implementation and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting systems and processes
• Assistance with ad-hoc financial modelling as required
• Preparation and submission of statutory returns including VAT in UK and Ireland
• Control the accuracy of standing data in the ERP system including BOMS and standard costs.
• Monitor and control working capital including debtor collection, payment of UK and Irish suppliers
• Capable of assisting in other areas such as pricing and production planning
• Mentor and develop junior accounting staff
• Assist in the annual audit and involvement in any other ad-hoc reporting as required

Experience and qualifications

A qualified accountant (preferably CIMA) with experience in manufacturing. The individual is likely to have had several year’s experience in manufacturing post qualification. Other key skills are:

• Advance Excel skills
• Knowledge and experience of using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment
• Ability in SQL would be an advantage
• Organised and able to work to tight deadlines
