The opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned global benefits manager to serve as the lead subject matter expert on all things benefits for our European locations, helping to set the strategic direction, drive the execution, and oversee the day-to-day administration of benefits programs.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Benefits, this individual will support Slalom's people-first culture by ensuring our benefits offering is market-competitive, compliant, scalable, and delivered cost-effectively. We are looking for a leader to drive process improvements and broader efficiencies and provide advice and guidance to employees and local HR and leadership teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day management of Slalom's benefits and wellbeing programs in our European locations in partnership with key internal partners and external vendors
- Support the creation, launch, and evolution of employee benefit offerings that are competitive, compliant, and fiscally sound in countries where Slalom expands
- Manage vendor and broker relationships and renewal activity
- Oversee benefit changes and implementations as needed
- Develop and execute an effective benefit communication strategy
- Collaborate with Slalom's Global People team and country leaders to ensure benefits offering remains compliant, competitive, and innovative
- Utilise technology to drive process improvements and efficiencies, and enhance the employee experience
- Manage, coach, and develop members of the benefits team
- Support strategic global projects as needed
What You'll Bring
- Comprehensive understanding of and experience with employee benefits practices, principles, laws, and regulations in Europe
- Experience working in a multinational organisation across multiple groups, including People Business Partners, Operations, Legal, Finance, etc., and proven ability to develop strong partnerships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be in the details and hands-on in the day-to-day management of benefits as needed
- Prior experience managing, coaching, and developing people.
- Ability to lead and guide multiple benefit and wellbeing vendors to ensure alignment with both business and employee needs
- Flexibility and diplomacy to manage challenging and complex situations
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Experience with benefits technology platforms
