Are you ready to make a splash in your career? We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our team to new depths. If you're eager to dive into feasibility, outline, and detailed design projects, this role is perfect for you. You'll steer tendering and fee bids with precision, ensuring smooth sailing from design management to multi-discipline project coordination. Conducting site visits will be part of your voyage, along with liaising with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers to keep everything shipshape.

You'll be the lighthouse for junior engineers, guiding their development and providing mentorship. Your mission includes producing top-notch deliverables within time, cost, and quality constraints, while also offering technical guidance and innovative solutions. You'll keep an eye on documents, checking and reviewing to ensure accuracy.

Skills and experience:

  • Water Industry or wider utilities experience, infrastructure and industrial clients.
  • Knowledge and understanding of water and sewage treatment processes and associated equipment/systems.
  • Participation in HAZOPS, SWIFTS, design reviews etc.
  • Commercial awareness of clients and factors that affect the project and impacts on Aqua Consultants.
  • Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience of projects from feasibility to outline and detailed design.
  • Production of calculations e.g., hydraulic pump calculations, screens etc.
  • Production of schedules, documents, reports, drawings, datasheets etc.
  • Degree qualified within mechanical engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership (within next 6 months).
  • Onsite experience would be preferable.
  • CAD skills would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of WIMES and other industry standards
