Overview
GBS-Buck is looking for a Senior Pension Consulting Actuary to join our team. As a Senior Actuary, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our corporate consulting practice and driving our ambitious growth targets.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Developing GBS-Buck's corporate consulting practice by contributing significantly to business development, attending meetings with prospects, and fashioning tools and marketing collateral.
- Providing advice and consulting services to corporate clients, ensuring flawless attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advising clients on pension scheme funding, including statutory and reporting figures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Guiding clients on non-actuarial issues, including legislative changes affecting the operation of their schemes
- Preparing and presenting materials for new business and existing client pitches, showcasing our world-class expertise.
- Addressing internal actuarial and general pensions queries from consultants and actuarial staff with precision and clarity.
- Responding to clients' queries regarding the operation of their pension arrangements, including funding, asset allocation, and legislative changes, ensuring efficient solutions are provided.
- Attending client meetings to present findings and recommendations, nurturing strong client relationships.
- Speaking at marketing seminars to promote GBS-Buck’s services and thought leadership in the industry.
- Conducting peer reviews and ensuring own work is peer-reviewed as appropriate, maintaining our flawless standards.
- Maintaining accurate time recording and charging to clients where applicable, demonstrating meticulous record-keeping.
- Staying current with applicable regulatory bodies and adhering strictly to Corporate Policies and Procedures (CCPs).
- Reporting any suspected breaches to management/compliance department upon discovery, ensuring full compliance with all regulations.
About You
- Substantial experience in actuarial consultancy with a consistent track record of success.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong organisational abilities, able to prioritise and handle tasks within deadlines.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, ensuring precision in all work.
- Proactive and dedicated to fostering collaboration and inclusion.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring flawless delivery of services.
- Proficient in computer applications relevant to actuarial work.
- Strong management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
- FIA/FFA qualification is essential, reflecting your dedication to professional excellence.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
