About the role:

Reporting to the Director of People Services and Employment Law this role will focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness and be responsible for delivering the operational HR provision to the UK wide group, including all aspects of the employee lifecycle, providing a comprehensive service to managers, employees and other internal stakeholders.

You’ll be responsible for group-wide People policy alignment and modernisation. This includes identifying policies which need reviewing and updating and taking the lead on identifying policies to be aligned and modernised. This includes researching and feeding back to the Director of People Services and Employment law the current best in class policies used by other organisations. Being a driver of change and development, you’ll ensure the Director of People Services and Employment Law is fully informed of all proposed changes with sufficient time to review and provide feedback prior to publication.

You’ll be responsible for managing, through appropriate delegation, the day-to-day HR policy tasks, working closely with People Relations and Policy Advisors as required, leading the development and implementation of new People policies and underpinning procedures and guidance recognising developments in ways of working and legislative requirements.

You’ll leads, motivate, develop and coach the HR Operations Manager with a view to driving a high performing team who are aligned as one and provide a seamless service to the business.

Who we’re looking for:

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have experience of managing a busy team and prior experience of working in a People Operations or Policy type role would be preferred. Project management experience would also be advantageous.
