What you can expect Due to the continued global growth in our Integrity Services Business Line, our collaborative UK Head office in Newcastle Upon Tyne require a Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer to work with engineers and technicians at all levels, and from other engineering disciplines within the business, on a range of commercial client projects and internal R&D initiatives.
As well as technical delivery, you will have opportunities to support business development activities, mentor and train junior engineers, and get involved in writing papers and attending international conferences. This role is ideal for an engineer with a good technical grounding looking to experience international operations and collaboration and take on more challenging projects.
What you will bring
Essential:
- More than 5 years of proven pipeline integrity experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related discipline
- Competent at interpreting and applying relevant industry codes and standards
- Excellent Technical Report writing skills
- Excellent communicator with a track record in delivering technical presentations, effectively managing & co-ordinating small project teams, and developing strong client relationships
- An excellent level of spoken and written English.
Preferred:
- Experience in presenting / authoring technical papers for conference and journals
- Background in the inspection, assessment and maintenance of pipelines / pipework
- Knowledge of pipeline inspection technologies, including in-line inspection and ultrasonic wall thickness measurement
- Experience in business development activities, including development of technical proposals and supporting Sales teams on client visits
- Condition assessment of pipelines / pipework, including working knowledge and practical experience of integrity assessments according to industry recognised guidance such as API 579 / ASME FFS1, RSTRENG, DNV RP F101 etc.
- Knowledge of crack assessment and crack management processes and methodologies
