Tasks
- Assist the Planning Manager to develop the tender programme, ensuring compliance with the STRABAG planning standards and the client requirements to provide a safe, efficient and cost-effective programme meeting all required access dates, milestones and key dates.
- Review the Employer’s Requirements, Contract Data and Works Information and associated information and highlight any deficiencies/omissions noted.
- Develop cost and resource loaded P6 tender programmes from first principles, coordinating with technical experts and associated teams to ensure they are robust.
- Ensure the tender programme meets all required access dates, milestones and key dates in compliance with the
- Employer’s Planning requirements, Contract Data and Works Information.
- Contribute to assessment of programme risks and programme risk analysis, including development and implementation of mitigation measures.
- Communication with designers, supply chain and third parties to ensure their programmes or sequence of works and interfaces are integrated into the tender programme.
- Ensure communication of any clarifications or assumptions made in producing the tender programme.
- In conjunction with the Commercial Team, produce deliverables such as cash flow forecasts as required.
- Develop resource histograms to demonstrate project prelims, labour, materials and plant requirements as required.
- Interfacing with other functional teams including, but not limited to: BIM Team, design team, Estimation and construction execution as required.
- Produce programmes, reports and / or extract filters as required.
- Production of phasing diagrams or presentations to demonstrate strategy and sequence as required.
- Production and updating of TILOS programmes as required.
- Review and detailed understanding of critical/near critical path(s) and be able to clearly demonstrate to others.
- Presentation of the tender programme in an appropriate fashion as required.
- Compliance with the STRA-PLAN procedures and guidelines.
- Handover of the tender programme to the construction execution team following successful Contract Award.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil engineering or an appropriate professional qualification.
- CSCS Card.
- Prior experience of planning in civil engineering projects.
- Competence in the use of Primavera P6 software.
- Knowledge of Safety, Environment and Risk Management.
- A clear understanding of the commercial and contractual interfaces with the planning function.
- Active experience of working with a wide range of planning techniques in both tendering and contract delivery.
- Ability to resource and cost load programmes and produce outputs to clearly demonstrate this information to others.
- Able to present ideas clearly and appropriately, suited to audience.
- Competence in the use of TILOS software.
- Experience of large-scale tunnelling and/or energy generation projects.
- Experience of QSRA.
