Join the Close Brothers PMO Team where you will be responsible for providing pragmatic, informed support and assurance to all in-flight deliveries and associated stakeholders in relation to delivery governance across the portfolio to ensure successful delivery.
The role holder will support their PMO Lead and Head of ePMO in building out the PMO capability across their team and the Bank by identifying areas for common improvement, increased collaboration and knowledge sharing as well as acting as a mentor for junior members in the team.
The successful candidate should understand and be able to provide guidance on delivery governance processes, tools, structures at both a local and Bankwide level
Responsibilities
General
- Work in lockstep with all delivery stakeholders to ensure they stay informed, supported in all aspects of delivery governance
- Understands and can guide others on the Bankwide Investment governance processes, terminology and requirements
Portfolio management (SFIA Level 5)
- Ensures that delivery stakeholders understand the agreed portfolio / programme management approach at a local and Bank level (where applicable)
- Maintains and guides others on local portfolio / programme governance processes and understands Bankwide governance processes
- Produces reports as appropriate for portfolio / programme governance
- Understands the alignment of local portfolio / programme investment with specific business strategies / objectives and Bankwide strategies / objectives
- Maintains and provides insight on inter / external delivery dependencies and any impacts they have on current delivery plan
- Maintains and provides insight on portfolio / programme benefits plan identifying and reporting where benefits are at risk of non-delivery
- Maintains and provides insight on portfolio / programme resource utilisation identifying and reporting potential resource hotspots and the associated impacts
Portfolio, Programme & Project Support (SFIA Level 4)
- Supports portfolio, programme and project level control boards i.e., Steer Co, Quality Assurance Reviews, Resource Board
- Uses and recommends portfolio, programme and project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking.
- Takes responsibility for the set-up of portfolio, programme and project documentation structure / hierarchy, compiles and distributes reports.
- Provides administrative services and recommends best practice solutions for portfolio / programme / project meetings and workshops
- Sets up and provides detailed guidance on project management software procedures, processes, tools and techniques.
- Sets up, maintains and provides best practice guidance on the use of PPM & Data Visualisation software tools
- Understands, maintains and provides best practice guidance on the use of Data Visualisation software tools
- Assists and provides best practice guidance on the compilation of portfolio, programme and project management reports.
Measurement (SFIA Level 4)
- Generates, produces, enhances and distributes reports.
- Proactively provides insight, trends on data collected
- Uses measurement tools i.e., PPMA, Tableau for routine analysis of data.
- Identifies and implements improvements to data collection methods.
- Actively contributes to the enhancement and creation of data related reports
- Suggests and designs measures to assess performance, progress, and provide indications and insights to actual or potential problems, issues, and risks
- Understands, promotes and provides detailed guidance to delivery teams regarding the use of available measurement tools at a local and Bankwide level
Risk Management (SFIA Level 4)
- Carries out and where possible enhances the prescribed risk management framework at a local and Bankwide level
- Understands and provides detailed guidance to delivery teams regarding the risk management structure and reporting requirements at a local and Bankwide level
- Identifies risks and vulnerabilities, assesses their impact and probability, develops mitigation strategies and reports to the portfolio / programme / business.
- Involves specialists and domain experts as necessary.
- Enables the accurate, timely reporting of Risk at a local and Bank level through management and analysis of risk data
Resourcing (SFIA Level 3)
- Facilitates and supports resource leads / managers and teams in delivery resource activities.
- Uses and provides detailed guidance on resource management software, Understands procedures, processes, tools and techniques at a local and Bankwide level
- Sets up, maintains and uses recommended tools for planning, scheduling and tracking resourcing activity.
- Supports the accurate, timely reporting of resource utilisation at a local and Bank level through management and analysis of resource data
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely
- Relevant experience working in a delivery environment, preferably in a Financial Services environment.
- Able to demonstrate application of key PMO responsibilities, methods, disciplines, tools and analysis techniques, to monitor, control and report on Programmes and/or Projects.
- Familiar with methods and techniques for reporting progress and financial conformance against an agreed plan
- Familiar with principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation.
