We are seeking a Microwave Electronics Engineer to join our growing team in the Antenna Core Delivery Team. As a Microwave Electronics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of GaAs/ GaN MMIC designs for various defense and space projects. Your expertise in microwave technology will contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge technologies and enhance our customer mission-critical capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop GaAs/GaN MMICs by analyzing system requirements and specifications
- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate design alternatives to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Carry out detailed simulations and modeling to verify the performance of your GaAs/GaN MMIC designs and ensure compliance with requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate your microwave designs into our Electronically Scanned Antennas
- Test and troubleshoot your designs to identify and resolve any issues or inefficiencies
- Generate technical reports and documentation to communicate design methodologies, analyses, and test results
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in microwave technology and incorporate new methodologies into design processes
- Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and materials
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in GaAs / GaN MMIC design, preferably in frequencies up to or above X-Band
- Proficiency in using CAD tools for microwave design, such as Keysight ADS, Microwave Office, or CST Microwave Studio
- Strong knowledge of Microwave components and devices, such as High Power Amplifiers, Attenuators, Phase Shifters, Low Noise Amplifiers, Switches.
- Experienced in using microwave test equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
- Solid understanding of electromagnetic field theory and transmission line theory, matching techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
