Senior Product Designer (UX) – Financial Technology

Duration: Initial contract until end of year

Setup: Contract - Inside IR35, daily rate

Location: Central London (3 days onsite, 2 remote)

Our banking client is seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer (UX) to craft intuitive and user-centric digital products. You will lead user research, discovery, and UX strategy, ensuring seamless collaboration between business stakeholders, engineers, and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

• User-Centered Design: Conduct research, define requirements, and create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Enterprise Product Development: Design and deliver complex financial technology applications at scale.
• UX Research & Testing: Plan and facilitate workshops, user interviews, journey mapping, and usability testing.
• Agile & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, engineers, and data teams to align design with business goals.
• Interaction & Visual Design: Develop UI components and data visualizations, ensuring consistency through a Design System.
• Prototyping & Validation: Build interactive prototypes using Figma and test solutions with real users.

Key Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably in financial services or enterprise applications.
• Proficiency in Figma, with expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and design systems.
• Strong understanding of user research methodologies, usability testing, and journey mapping.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams, integrating design into product development.
• Ability to communicate design decisions clearly, balancing business requirements and user needs.
• Experience with data visualization and complex workflows is a plus.
