Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Senior Product Manager to lead the development, refinement, and scaling of product and service offerings. This role is critical in driving innovation, consistency, and client value across our portfolio of services.
Unlike traditional tech environments, our products are high-value advisory services and intellectual assets. These may include new advisory propositions, methodologies, frameworks, or tools—either newly developed or standardised from existing best practices. You'll collaborate closely with practice leaders, subject matter experts, and delivery teams to design, test, and embed offerings that meet client needs and align with our business strategy and mission.
Main Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and articulate the vision for new or enhanced product and service offerings.
- Translate business goals and client insights into a clear product and service development roadmap.
Service Development & Standardisation
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design, testing, and implementation of new service propositions.
- Systematise existing methods and frameworks to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across the business.
- Integrate scientific research and market analysis into product and service requirements to improve effectiveness and efficiency, and ensure cutting-edge relevance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, external partners, and technical experts to shape and validate offerings.
- Act as the voice of the client, ensuring products and services meet real-world challenges and expectations.
- Provide direct support to Practice Directors by helping to translate their expertise and strategic goals into scalable, high impact service offerings.
Go-to-Market & Enablement
- Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to package and position services, aligning closely with business goals and competitive positioning.
- Develop supporting materials such as playbooks, training resources, and delivery toolkits to enable client-facing teams to deliver quality at scale.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish development budgets and feedback mechanisms to track the performance and impact of new and existing products and services, including return on investment and client satisfaction.
- Continuously refine offerings based on feedback, market trends, and business priorities.
Required Skills
Experience & Background
- Proven experience in a product management, service design, innovation, or proposition development role, ideally within a consultancy, professional services, or corporate strategy environment.
- Strong understanding of professional services dynamics and client relationship models.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional ability to think strategically and translate ideas into structured, scalable offerings.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and applying structure to complex, unstructured problems.
Mindset & Approach
- Outcome-driven with a focus on client value and commercial viability.
- Curious, pragmatic, and solutions oriented.
- Able to challenge assumptions constructively and influence without authority.
Desirable
- Experience in the nature, biodiversity, climate or sustainability fields, especially in relation to corporate advisory.
- Experience with frameworks such as service design, design thinking, or agile (adapted for non-tech environments).
- Familiarity with knowledge management or intellectual capital development.
All applicants will be responded to w/c 9th June 2025.
