About the role:
Reporting to the Programme Manager, you’ll join a dynamic team with a strong focus on new product development to support the growth of the business and market share. You’ll play a key role in the delivery of a number of ambitious and exciting machine programs, which will provide new models and major upgrades in support of our growth plans.
What does this role involve day to day?
- You’ll facilitate the project team in achieving the project plan, reporting progress and managing risk.
- You’ll aim to ensure the cross functional project teams achieve their deliverables.
- You’ll aim to ensure new products are introduced in accordance with the current JCB New Product Introduction Process (NPIP).
- You’ll maintain and track Project Plans and Project Metrics including project parts trackers, PCM's, Engineering timing plans, Master schedules, etc.
- You’ll provide clear communication to all areas of the business on the project status.
- You’ll collaborate closely with cross functional teams to maintain and develop project cost tracking documentation that supports overall financial planning and performance.
- You’ll manage, monitor and report on the financial status of the project, including bill of material (BOMs), pricing and other key cost elements.
- You’ll be involved in the preparation of project gate documents.
This will be suited to you if
- You’re self-motivated, flexible, and have a keen sense of urgency and a desire to achieve results.
- You have good attention for detail and good numeracy skills, which will be essential in succeeding in this role.
- You can communicate at all levels across the business.
- You can motivate and influence a team with an ability to set and deliver demanding objectives for yourself and your team.
- Have prior experience of a new product introduction environment for minimum 5 years or equivalent experience in other areas of the business.
- You’re proficient in the use of all Microsoft office tools (including MS Project), with advanced excel skills.
- You’re familiar with New Product Introduction Processes.
