The Vacancy

Absolute Solar and Wind (ASAW), part of the RSK Group, is a leading renewable energy engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor. They are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a full-time, permanent, hybrid basis at their Loch Lomond, Scotland head office.

The Senior QS will provide commercial management and quantity surveying services across the country.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective commercial control of projects
• Carry out procurement of subcontractors and large value plant, materials and equipment
• Ensure that robust change control is implemented at project level and variations are agreed with the client/ suppliers on a monthly basis to ensure accurate forecasts are maintained.
• Provide monthly project reports / CVR’s to the Commercial Director and Senior Management team to enable robust financial reporting
• Proactively challenge, investigate and report on project level financial performance
• Report on project risks, issues and opportunities, highlighting key items for discussion
• Provide project level reports on defects, liabilities/allowances, pain/gain share and other contract specific changeable values
• Be responsible for the submission of project level applications for payment, reviewing cash flow and advising on income and liabilities
  
  
  

Person specification:

• Technical Quantity Surveying qualifications
• Strong previous surveying experience within the construction or civil engineering sector.
• Renewables experience is an advantage.
• Experience in interpreting contracts/contractual terms, including JCT, NEC, ICC
• Member of a recognised professional institution is an advantage (i.e. RICS, CIOB, CICES)
• Long term perspective/impact on decisions
• Must be in possession of a full driving licence

• £50,000 - £65,000 Depending on experience
