We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure Road's team in Cambridgeshire on the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement project. The purpose of the National Highways scheme is to address the problems of congestion, poor journey time reliability and poor resilience against incidents between the Black Cat and Caxton Gibbet roundabouts.

What you'll do:

  • Undertake and oversee subcontractor administration
  • Work closely with the operations team for effective cost and value management
  • Subcontract procurement of packages as the work proceeds.
  • Identification and valuation of change, risks and opportunities.
  • Provide support and guidance for junior commercial staff and operational staff who you are supporting.
  • Liaise with the site Client representatives on commercial issues, including the agreement of costs

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Experienced senior quantity surveyor, with main contractor background working on large highways projects
  • Experience with NEC forms of contract and understanding of contractual requirements
  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent in commercial related subject
  • MRICS or CICES desirable
  • Able to work effectively with all disciplines of the site team to deliver results.
