About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Retoucher to join our Leicester Head Office studio, working on still life creative imagery for both Next and our external partner brands. As an expert in your field, you’ll produce exceptional, high-quality imagery for the Next family of websites.

This is a fast-paced role spanning all our in-house retouching teams and studios, playing a key part in maintaining Next’s creative vision and brand principles. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone creative and proactive, whether you’re looking to step into a Senior Retoucher position or already have experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality content for Next customers, ensuring it aligns with brand principles and creative direction.
• Maintain a deep understanding of retouching workflows, identify efficiencies, and introduce new techniques to streamline production.
• Provide expert guidance to all studio levels on retouching, supporting your Team Lead.
• Plan and prioritise retouching workflows to meet tight deadlines and ensure timely delivery of high-quality imagery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management and studio teams.
• Monitor and improve quality standards to ensure consistency across all imagery.
• Oversee the quality and output of the retouching team, ensuring it meets the highest standards.
• Support the training and development of retouchers in collaboration with your Team Lead.
• Promote a learning culture and foster a positive team dynamic by working collaboratively with other Senior Retouchers.
• Stay up to date with new techniques and processes to enhance retouch workflows.
• Work closely with shoot teams to ensure the best possible images are captured efficiently, offering alternative suggestions when needed.
• Drive innovation by thinking outside the box on processes and projects.
• Communicate effectively with your Team Lead to set clear, achievable goals.
• Be flexible to work at other Next studios, external studios, or on location when required.
  
  

About You:

• Expert knowledge of retouching techniques, with experience in both e-commerce and marketing imagery.
• Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, with strong skills in rebuilding textures and refining intricate details to deliver polished, high-end imagery.
• Relevant experience in high end editorial-style retouching is a bonus.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret retouching briefs in line with brand standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with high competence in accurate colour correction using physical and digital swatches.
• Familiarity with MAC operating systems and experience in a large creative studio environment.
• Creative flair and a passion for visual composition.
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-changing environment.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
