Job Description
We have a new opportunity in our Glasgow office for a Senior RI & Run Off Credit Controller.
The primary purpose of this role is to assist the RI & Run-Off Head of CC with credit control activities for CEG (excluding Multinational), CGM, and Run-Off, focusing on the collection and settlement of recoveries/payables, as well as addressing broker and reinsurer queries.
Based in Glasgow, the position is part of a three-member team, supported by Genpact for administrative tasks.
The successful candidate must build strong relationships with Chubb departments, brokers, insurance companies, and offshore support teams to optimise cash collection and payments to reinsurers.
The role also involves monitoring KPIs against targets and taking corrective actions to address and communicate any delays in collections
Key Responsibilities
- Help facilitate the timely and accurate settlement of reinsurance recoveries and payables, along with related payments and receipts, for CEG, CGM, Run-Off, and Chubb Life.
- Reconcile reinsurance premiums with brokers/partners according to the established contracts and procedures.
- Reconcile reinsurance premiums on the LORS with brokers/partners according to the established contracts and procedures.
- Assist the RI & Run-Off Head with regular reporting requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining records, providing documentation, and responding to queries promptly.
- Consistently assess and uphold business processes, seeking opportunities for increased efficiency. Ensure operational effectiveness by reporting and refining existing processes or collaborating with the wider teams on new ones. Contribute to the development of new systems and enhancements.
Qualifications
- Preferably qualified by experience or educated to Graduate level
- Studying or completed Insurance qualification (e.g. CII)
- Ideally experience in the reinsurance / credit control environment
- Existing understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance concepts and practices.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Openness to questioning established practices
