This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated Dietitians to join our Dietetic Team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH).
We are pleased to be able to offer a permanent full time role within our Band 6 rotation. The Band 6 rotations offer a wide range of clinical areas across the Royal Hallamshire, Northern General, Weston Park and Community. The specialities we offer include; Gastroenterology, Diabetes, Critical Care, Burns, Upper GI and HPB Surgery, Haematology, CF, Oncology, Renal, HEF and Stroke. The available rotation is likely to be in stroke.
We are looking for HCPC registered Dietitians with strong communication and team working skills with a desire to develop their clinical knowledge. You will be supported by our Dietetic Team Lead’s and you will have excellent opportunities for professional and personal development within our department. This includes; involvement in audit, service development, evaluation and research within your clinical specialty and secondment opportunities across the department.

- Deliver nutrition teaching within a number of training programs and provide training to A,B & C placement students which you will be actively involved in.
- Be responsible for the provision of high quality Dietetic service to a clinical caseload in a designated speciality, using a high level of skills and knowledge as an independent practitioner.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of evidence based clinical and teaching practice. Providing specialist advice and education in the designated speciality.
- To work within the Dietetic team in assisting in the operational management of the department.
- To assist the Dietetic management team to ensure the overall service provides high quality patient care, and in the management of clinical governance, resources and equipment.
