We are recruiting for a Senior Site Manager to join us here at Octavius Infrastructure working on Highways Projects in the North East of England.

Octavius is leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)

As Senior Site Manager, you will lead and manage the site activities on a major highways project in Newcastle. You will oversee the construction of road infrastructure, drainage systems, bridges and structures ensuring work is completed safely, profitably, and in line with the programme. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety while ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.

You will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, including the Project Manager and subcontractors, to deliver key projects for our valued clients. Our projects are delivered across a variety of frameworks, focusing on improving road infrastructure and enhancing the travelling experience for local communities.

You are an experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong background in road building and drainage, capable of managing site activities on major infrastructure projects. You are an inspiring leader who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining excellent relationships with your team, clients, and suppliers.

You'll Bring… (your Wealth Of Experience & Qualifications)

• Significant experience in highways construction.
• Strong knowledge of NEC or ICE contract conditions and programme management.
• SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card.
• An industry-recognised qualification (Degree, HND, NVQ) in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
