Job Description
As a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) professional, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our software products. You will provide independent assurance throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company standards.
What you will do as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer
- Provide independent software assurance support to the development and release of software, verifying it is in accordance with the contracted and company standards.
- Create and maintain software quality assurance plans in accordance with contractual conditions and company standards.
- Estimate software quality assurance resources required to support projects.
- Assess the ability of subcontracted companies to perform software development to required standards.
- Assess projects for compliance with software development plans and processes.
- Participate in software lifecycle reviews.
- Performing software conformity reviews and physical/functional configuration audits.
- Verify the release of deliverable software.
What We Need From You
You really must have
- Knowledge and practical experience of software quality.
- Education and experience ideally in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or experience in Defence Electronics or similarly "complex" industry.
- Be a logical thinker, capable of harvesting complex data into actions with practical solutions that support business goals, in 'the language of the business'.
- Have strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all functions of the business.
It would be nice if you had
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge within the areas of AS9100 / ISO9001 and continuous improvement.
- Have demonstrated experience working in high precision manufacturing environment. An airborne software background, with strong working knowledge of software standards RTCA/DO-178C, AS9115, and AQAP-2210.
