About The Job

Do you want to make real social impact while travelling across the UK, empowering communities and leading stakeholder engagement for offshore wind parks?

We offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and strategic Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager to take a leading role in supporting Vattenfall’s UK offshore wind portfolio – helping us make fossil free living possible within one generation.

In our Business Unit Offshore Wind, we develop, build and operate offshore wind farms across several markets in Northern Europe. With our work, we contribute directly to a sustainable energy transition. Within the Stakeholder Engagement team, we collaborate across disciplines and countries to build lasting relationships with local communities, schools, municipalities, associations and businesses – because the energy transition must benefit everyone.

That’s why we’re now looking for a Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager to join our team – and bring fresh energy and local impact to our UK offshore wind parks.

What will you do?

As our new Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager – UK, you’ll step into a varied and meaningful role, where your work truly matters. You'll be the key point of contact for our communities, ensuring a consistent, two-way dialogue across our operational assets. Whether you're at a school in Ormonde region, a local fair in Ramsgate, or visiting teams in Aberdeen, your efforts help build lasting relationships and create real local benefits.

You’ll drive the development and execution of engagement and communication strategies – working with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure our projects not only succeed technically, but socially too. You'll also help maintain and energize existing collaborations at our sites, bringing renewed focus and creativity to initiatives that may have been put on the back burner.

There’s a lot of movement and coordination between regions, and this role thrives on variety: one day engaging communities, another day informing children about renewable energy in the classroom. You’ll inspire internal and external stakeholders alike, while guiding our projects to be visible, valuable, and valued parts of the local landscape.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and coordinate the Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Strategy across Vattenfall’s UK offshore wind sites.
  • Be the main point of contact for local communities and stakeholders – from school groups to community associations, from local business owners to residents.
  • Organize and attend community engagement activities, like site visits, school talks, and local events – building visibility, trust, and mutual understanding.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues across multiple teams and countries to ensure alignment of messaging and engagement efforts.
  • Champion internal participation in external engagement – acting as a culture guardian and helping to set up team building around social impact.
  • Bring a strategic eye and coordination skills to geographically spread sites, including Ormonde, Aberdeen, and Ramsgate.
  • Help maintain ongoing relationships and community programmes, including benefit funds, communication campaigns, and education initiatives.

Location

This is a flexible location in the UK where you can work in offices in Aberdeen, London, Ramsgate or Barrow-in-Furness and will regularly travel between asset sites including Aberdeen, Barrow-in-Furness and the South East. Occasional international travel to continental Vattenfall locations.

Your profile

Who are you?

You're a person with a mission. You believe in building genuine relationships and making a social difference, not just ticking boxes. You're ready to bring your enthusiasm, insight, and coordination skills to one of the most impactful stakeholder engagement roles in the energy transition.

As our Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager, you will bring:

  • A strategic, coordinating mindset and the ability to energize and lead complex engagement initiatives across multiple sites.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – you're an active listener, a thoughtful communicator, and skilled at building trust and rapport with diverse groups.
  • A passion for local impact, education, and social value – you want to be the person communities remember when they think of Vattenfall.

Next to this, you bring:

  • A degree in Communications, Psychology, Community or International Development, or a related field.
  • Solid experience with stakeholder engagement in major infrastructure or sustainability projects.
  • A background in designing and delivering communications and outreach strategies.
  • A flair for public speaking and clear writing, with strong digital and content creation skills.
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK and adapt your approach to different local needs.
  • A collaborative attitude – you love sparring with colleagues, sharing ideas, and lifting each other up.

The successful candidate will need to have the right to work in the UK
