Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Surveyor or Construction Manager who can oversee and manage the design side of the Agency adaptation and repair work and manage the contractor delivery of projects.
This very rewarding area of work would suit someone with people and contracts management experience who also has good communication and performance management skills.
We are positive about disability, and this role will involve a lot of contact with clients and their families in their own home, so a calm, clear and customer centric approach is also key together with the ability to balance the works required with available budget.
The successful candidate should have a good knowledge of building regulations, CDM, and be experienced in procuring contracts including writing specifications, works schedules and contract management.
The postholder will have their own caseload which will include design, specification writing, preparing work schedules and managing contractor performance as well as reporting on the overall performance of the surveying staff/projects. Surveyors typically deal with more complex projects such as extensions and provide technical advice and interventions where required.
The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Due to the nature of this position, you will need to be able to travel around the County by car.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £45,718 - £50,788 per annum (City Pay Band 7), pro rata for part time.
Location: The office base is Cambourne in South Cambridgeshire, with travel across Cambridgeshire. Staff may choose to work from home and are expected to attend meetings at the office as required.
