Scope
AIG is seeking an experienced Senior Talent Partner who will support the International HR team and the Talent COE deliver talent strategy and initiatives across International and Global Personal businesses. A proven expert in talent, project management, collaboration and driving innovative yet relevant tools is critical. In addition to expertise and proven thought leadership, the Senior Talent Partner will be both a strategic visionary and execution oriented. Execution and accountability are highly valued at AIG.
The Senior Talent Partner will report to the Head of HR for International with matrix reporting into the Global Head of Talent and Inclusion (T&I). As a member of the International HR leadership team, the Senior Talent Partner will serve as a strategic thought partner across the full International and Global Personal community, and partner with various Sr. Leaders within AIG. This leader will also be a member of the T&I COE leadership team, inclusive of being invited to team meetings, receiving communications and being a voice for broader T&I initiatives.
How You Will Make An Impact
Talent Strategy Development
- In partnership with the Global Talent COE, develop and execute International and Global Personal talent strategies tailored to business needs including regional and local markets
- Develop and execute International cyclical talent management processes including development of processes
- Collaborate with regional leaders, International Leadership Team (ILT) and HR leaders to understand market specific challenges and opportunities and design talent initiatives accordingly.
- Facilitate effective change management and communication of talent management tools aligned to business needs
- Support HRBPs to facilitate timely and impactful talent processes
- Support development of workforce plans, succession planning and talent pipelines
- Partner with HRBPs and business to identify and address leadership opportunities and alignment with International Insurance needs.
- Work with Global Talent team to support facilitating executive coaching, mentoring and leadership assessments for International
- Manage International business processes related to participation in global development opportunities
- Operate as coach in supporting leaders to drive development plans
Data and Analysis and Reporting
- Utilise HR analytics to assess the effectiveness of talent management programs, identify trends, and make data- driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Drive effective metrics and analytics across project management for International
International HR program management
- Support International Head of HR to manage oversight and support project management of International HR projects, delivering exemplar change management, execution and partnership across HR
- Projects cover, talent management, talent acquisition, performance management, systems, organisational design and planning, culture and inclusion, and operational excellence.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a trusted advisor to International senior leaders, International HR team and Global Talent COE
- Build relationships across regions to ensure consistent and culturally adaptable talent strategies
- Support managing relationships with agreed external vendors or consultants as needed to support initiatives.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- Significant experience in talent management or related HR roles, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent and change programs.
- Experience in organisational development and workforce planning highly valued.
- Proven capability to identify Business needs and to partner with Global HR teams to develop and implement consistent, commercial HR strategies and plans
- Proven capability to operate in HR and executive teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in HR tools, and ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders of all levels.
- Ability to operate within an ambiguous environment while still delivering results
- Ability to bring teams together and be culturally sensitive to the needs of others.
- Life-long learner, with a passion for talent, change and project management
- A bachelor’s degree or advanced degree and relevant certification in HR. Coaching certification would be advantageous.
