Your Role

As Sensory Panel Leader (f/m/d) you are part of our Sensory & Consumer Insights team for the EAME market. You will be responsible for planning, preparing and conducting sensory panel tests as well as organizing practical and administrative tasks for the descriptive sensory panel, including panel training.

• You will conduct sensory tests (difference, descriptive) to validate taste solutions and create a sensory understanding of consumer preference drivers.
• You will be responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring panel training.
• You will prepare data collection using the appropriate software, for example EyeQuestion.
• You will prepare data collection and reporting of standardized sensory tests such as regulatory tests.
• You prepare samples for the panel sessions, considering appropriate hygiene measures.
• You coordinate and organize the samples in coordination with the project partners for timely sample delivery, purchase of market products and sample storage.
• You follow the quality standards relevant to the sensory laboratory and take responsibility for the maintenance of 2-3 Symscript languages.
• You will conduct sensory customer training and be in regular communication with members of the wider EAME Panel Leader Sensory team.

• You have a background in food technology and ideally already have experience in sensory evaluation or as head of a sensory panel.
• You are interested in tasting, sensory evaluation and product perception of food and beverages.
• You have excellent interpersonal and group facilitation skills required for panel training purposes and working with project teams.
• You have strong organizational and time management skills.
• You are proficient in the use of common products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• You have an independent and proactive way of working.
• You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, which are necessary for working and presenting results.
• You can understand and implement best practices and always contribute to their improvement.
• You have a native level command of English; any other language is a plus.
