The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a ServiceNow Analyst Developer to join our IT team in Bristol.

This role involves designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions to meet the Project’s and IT service management needs. The developer will work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback, manage incoming work, and establish efficient processes. Additionally, they will create and maintain a product roadmap, align the team’s efforts with business goals, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the ServiceNow platform.

What will you do:

  • Assess and report on the current state of the environments and then define and plan a roadmap to enable the list of requirements from stakeholders before development can begin.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their ServiceNow needs and requirements.
  • Triage, define, and prioritise incoming work related to ServiceNow developments.
  • Assess the urgency and importance of requests to ensure critical tasks are addressed first.
  • Define, establish, and improve processes for managing ServiceNow developments, ensuring clear guidelines and efficient workflows.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap for ServiceNow and communicate it effectively to stakeholders, setting clear expectations and aligning the team’s efforts with the overall business goals.
  • Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow applications and modules that meet the firm's requirements, ensuring optimal functionality and user satisfaction.
  • Implement integrations with ServiceNow such as LDAP, SSO, Integration Hub, web services, email, and other relevant technologies.
  • Implement ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mappings.
  • Test technical solutions for the ServiceNow implementations.
  • Provide support in prototypes engagement & design, demo POC for new ServiceNow features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the ServiceNow platform to ensure its smooth operation.
  • Take ownership of 2nd & 3rd line support for incidents, investigation, troubleshooting, and resolving issues promptly to minimize impact on business operations.
  • Maintain documentation related to ServiceNow solutions and provide training to end users to ensure efficient system usage.


What we are looking for:

  • Excellent understanding of ITIL with v3 foundation level as a minimum requirement.
  • A good understanding of project lifecycle methodologies such as Prince 2 and Agile IT best practice frameworks.
  • Effective at building and sustaining relationships across all levels of the organisation, both within IT and beyond.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to understand the benefits of and adapt to new tech solutions quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail and a focus on delivering results.
  • Proactive approach to staying current with industry developments.
  • Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills, with the motivation to exceed expectations.
  • Motivates and mentors junior developer to build solutions, which fulfils firm’s requirements.
  • Experience of developing process maps, flow diagrams and related documentation.
  • Experience in acting as a point of reference to a delivery team, confident in working and negotiating with technical experts to ensure service is delivered effectively.
  • Experience of working and negotiating with third party suppliers.
  • A good understanding of configuration management including licensing models.
  • Proficient in JavaScript and ServiceNow platform customization.
  • Experience in ServiceNow scripting and GlideScript.
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and AngularJS.
  • Familiar with ServiceNow APIs and integration methods.
  • Proficient in ServiceNow administration and IT service management processes.
