THE ROLE:

Reason & purposes for role

The Services Administrator role covers three important areas of the business. 

Firstly, the Services Administrator will be engaged in the management of, and associated administration relating to, third party suppliers who underpin Flexitricity’s service delivery. This is across both Flexitricity’s supply and Balancing Service functions. To ensure Flexitricity’s service delivery and revenue growth, we are currently supported by 8-10 external parties with whom on-going engagement and data sharing is required.


Secondly, the position involves the coordination of data and information relating to the Flexitricity’s multiple contractual agreements within the GB Capacity Market. You will support an existing Services Administrator in managing Flexitricity’s responsibilities under these contracts, engaging and reporting to internal stakeholders and external bodies, including National Energy System Operator (NESO).

 

Finally, the Services Admin will support the Balancing Services Manager and wider business in the delivery and compliance of all Balancing Services across the sector.

Reporting to the Head of Supply & Balancing Services, the Services Administrator should expect to split their time evenly between internal and external tasks and will enjoy a high degree of autonomy in workload management. In addition, the role demands a high level of attention to detail, the ability to interpret contractual terms and conditions, a good level of data manipulation and analysis.


Core duties will include:

·        Balancing Services tender management and responsibility for tender submissions to service providers,

·        Extensive understanding of service terms,

·        The ability to understand technical information and articulate this (internally and externally) in a succinct manner,

·        Query management and resolution,

·        Relationship development and contract management with third party providers,

·        Data analysis and manipulation,

·        Monthly / Quarterly administration tasks and reporting to be completed for Board submission

·        Ensure compliance with our Balancing Services contracts and supply licenses,

·        Recording, analysing, and reporting on performance of individual contracts,

·        Maintenance of Flexitricity contracts via external web portals and online systems,

·        Collaboration with Flexitricity’s Trading, Operations and Account Management Teams to ensure service delivery to Energy Partners through accuracy of data and maintenance of third-party relations,

·        Identification of areas of risk and/or improvement and develop methods of streamlining existing processes,

·        Helping the business understand and influence regulatory and policy matters


Where does this role sit within the business?

The role sits within the Supply & Balancing Services function of the business. The role has substantial interfaces across the rest of the business.

THE CANDIDATE:


Essential

This role requires an enthusiastic, organised, proactive and driven Service Administrator with the following:


·        Evidence of 2 years+ experience in a similar role in a regulated industry,

·        Demonstrate capacity to work within a wider team as well as autonomously,

·        Outstanding attention to detail

·        Above-average proficiency of Excel is required

·        Confidence on the phone is a necessity,

·        Able to schedule your workload according to priorities and work with minimal supervision,

·        Excellent communication and people skills,

·        Good planning and organisational abilities,

·        Can work calmly under pressure, and

·        Experience of Salesforce CRM (or similar platform)


Desirable


·        Experience working in energy flexibility markets 

·        Understanding of market structures in the gas and electricity industry

·        Familiarisation with some of the sectors Flexitricity works with, including horticulture, district heating, utilities, food and drink, battery storage, merchant power plants.

·        Technical understanding of flexible load and generation assets

Salary – to be discussed.


·        Annual holiday entitlement 30 days (pro rata) plus those public holidays recognised by the Company (25/26 December and 1/2 January).

·        Life cover at 4x base salary. 

·        Group Personal Pension, with employer matched contributions of 7% assuming a minimum personal contribution of 4% commences following 3 months full service.

·        Probationary period 6 months
