THE ROLE
To provide guidance & support to the management team in all Health, Safety &
Environmental matters.
To manage the safety management system and update as required.
To understand the group Health, Safety & Environmental activities and translate them
locally ensuring compliance with ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015.
Produce KPI's and report on all health, safety & environmental performance at site level.
Lead the investigation process relating to all incidents, accidents and compliance breaches.
Contribute to the group ISO accreditation in ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015.
Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work undertaking risk assessments, in safety and environmental, as appropriate.
Develop & deliver health, safety and environmental awareness training.
THE PERSON
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Health, Safety & Environment Management with an ideal background in recycling / engineering / plastics / packaging manufacturing.
Able to demonstrate a keen interest and knowledge in Environmental legalities & practice across a manufacturing site.
Excellent communication and written skills with a high attention to detail Excellent organisational, decision making and time management skills.
Organised and calm under pressure.
Proven experience of internal auditing, minimum ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015 Auditor qualification.
Proactive, positive, enthusiastic - demonstrates a "can do" attitude.
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety and preferably working towards the NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent.
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Environmental Management Systems and preferably working towards the NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent.
