Site Technician to join their team in
Hemel Hempstead, UK.

What You Can Expect In This Position
- Primarily site-based, with some office/stores time
- Working in a team with civil/structural engineers and project managers
- Mainly in London and the south-east but can be nationwide and occasionally international
- Testing, sampling and breaking out concrete and other construction materials
- Working at height and in confined spaces may be required
- Anti-social hours sometimes required (evenings/night-time/weekends) (with compensation)
- Occasional requirement to stay away from home (expenses paid)

- Ongoing training/development opportunities
Responsibilities
- Testing and sampling of existing structures
- Structural investigations (breaking out concrete)
- Condition surveys
- Working in varied and challenging locations, from construction sites to historic buildings
- Reporting findings of investigations
- Communicating with clients and colleagues to ensure successful project delivery
- Using your initiative to solve site challenges
Qualifications And Experience
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Good mathematics/science and/or practical skills
- GCSE grade A-C in mathematics, English and science.
- CSCS card and IPAF, PASMA, PTS, IRATA qualifications an advantage
- Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Minimum 1years’ relevant or transferrable experience
- Experience with GPR, Ferroscan, half-cell, impact echo, covermeter advantageous
- Good organisational skills
- Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office applications (AutoCAD an advantage)
