Reports to: Lead Smart Analyst
Location: Nottingham Head Office
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week
Based in Nottingham, we are looking to expand our Metering Team within our Operations Department due to continued success & growth and have created an exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead, ensuring an excellent standard of service is provided and maintained to our Yü Energy customers.

Experience with Smart Meters and the energy industry is beneficial, but the ideal candidate is one who can take on new information and implement it effectively, regardless of previous experience.

What We Need from Yü
Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:- To proactively develop and maintain a good understanding of the Smart hardware and software, and act as a subject matter expert in Yu Energy.
- To provide support to the wider Smart Metering Team, by providing solutions to the broad range of written and verbal enquiries.
- To investigate and resolve technical Smart Metering issues, identifying and implementing necessary process and technical changes
- Support on training and the maintenance of training documents for new or modified Smart Metering processes
- To build and maintain a strong relationship with Meter Operators and Meter Manufacturers, and manage any issues raised with them
- To monitor and maintain the firmware on our smart metering portfolio, managing regular upgrades and ensuring no devices are operating on outdated software
- Maintain continuity of work by documenting & communicating required actions to management, identifying irregularities in processes & shaping continuing needs.

Relevant Qualifications / Experience:- Track record of working in a technically oriented role
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:- Experience working within the Electricity and Gas industry.
