The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and proactive
Social Media & Content Manager with healthcare experience, to cover a 6-month maternity leave. This role will be responsible for planning, creating, managing, and optimising organic and paid social media activity for a portfolio of clients, while delivering measurable impact across content performance, community growth, and strategic innovation.
Day To Day Responsibilities Include
- Develop and manage strategic content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Write platform-specific, engaging copy aligned to brand tone and audience preferences.
- Schedule, publish, and optimise social content to maximise reach and engagement.
- Adapt creative assets and copy based on evolving platform formats and requirements.
- Monitor content performance and produce regular reporting with actionable insights.
- Present content calendars, performance results, and optimisation strategies to clients.
- Implement follower growth strategies aligned with client objectives.
- Stay ahead of platform trends, emerging formats, and user behaviours to keep content innovative and relevant.
- Proactively identify strategic improvements to strengthen client social media presence.
- Plan, launch, and manage paid social campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and LinkedIn.
- Define campaign objectives, targeting, creative direction, and budget allocations.
- Monitor campaign performance and make ongoing optimisations to improve ROI.
- Produce post-campaign analysis reports, including insights and strategic recommendations.
- Manage annual paid media budgets, ensuring smart allocation and spend efficiency.
- Plan and execute strategic boosting of posts, based on performance goals and campaign priorities.
- Boost content to enhance reach and engagement where appropriate.
- Create and manage Facebook events in support of campaign or brand initiatives.
- Remain up to date with algorithm changes and best practices to ensure content effectiveness.
- Create persuasive pitch decks for new business and growth opportunities.
- Develop clear, engaging presentation slides that align with strategic storytelling.
- Confidently present to clients and stakeholders, adapting communication style as needed.
- Work closely with internal teams to refine messaging and ensure brand consistency.
- Use Brandwatch to monitor brand sentiment, competitor activity, and industry trends.
- Extract insights to guide content planning and audience engagement.
- Create reports and strategic recommendations based on listening data.
- Spot emerging risks or opportunities by analysing conversations and trends.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years experience in an agency (or similar) role
- Proven experience managing social media for brands across multiple platforms.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to tailor tone and message to various audiences.
- Hands-on experience with paid social advertising (Meta & LinkedIn essential).
- Analytical mindset with experience using reporting tools and interpreting data.
- Familiarity with social listening platforms, particularly Brandwatch.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
