What will I be doing:
The ActiveAI Security Portal team work on unifying product access across the Darktrace suite to enhance the customer experience. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for developing robust authentication flows, advancing product-to-product communication and building plugins. As you will be helping to integrate products for a wide range of teams, you will be exposed to many varied technologies and stakeholders.
As a Software Engineer within the ActiveAI Security portal team, your role will also be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Contributing to rapid prototyping of new and innovative ideas to further improve Darktrace’s services and offerings,
- Improving the performance and competencies of existing products and platforms,
- Investigating and furthering our unique methodology in defending against unknown cyber-attacks.
This is a hybrid role, and the expectation is to work a minimum of 2 days a week in the Cambridge office.
What experience do I need:
We welcome applications from candidates who have a solution focused mindset combined with an analytical approach to problem-solving. During the interview process you’ll be able to demonstrate your ability to program using TypeScript and JavaScript and will show an understanding of writing code in a production environment. Additionally, it’s likely that you’ll be:
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking independent decisions as well as having the ability to work cooperatively within a team,
- Able to show knowledge or interest in cyber-security / malware forensics,
- Experienced with statistical analysis of static or dynamic systems,
- Familiar with Docker,
- Knowledgeable about cloud computing environments would be beneficial.
Experience of working with a range of other programming languages such as Python and Rust would also be beneficial but isn’t essential.
