The opportunity
Are you interested in developing low level embedded software for one of the most cutting-edge defence and aerospace projects in the UK? If you like the sound of developing software for the European Common Radar System (ECRS), then Leonardo would like to hear from you.
We are looking for experienced Software leaders to join our well established software community as the Radar programmes grow and enter a crucial phase, developing complex functionality.

What you’ll do as the Radar Software Team Lead
- Regular 121’s and performance reviews to support their career growth
- Coach the team in Agile and Scrum
- Improve the day-to-day efficiency of the team, acting as an escalation point to remove blockers
- Own the performance metrics for the team
- Support the work, showing a grasp of the work that is being done by the team and an ability to step in and technically support when required.
What We Need From You
While we understand that the perfect candidate doesn't always exist, we really need the following experience
- Team leadership experience
- Product Owner and/or Scrum Master experience, preferably certified
- Come from a technical software background, preferably using C++, or similar, with OOD (Object Oriented Design) techniques.
- Experience of full software lifecycle documentation artefacts.
