Solicitor

My client are looking for an experienced and motivated Litigation Solicitor to join their expanding dispute resolution team. If you’re passionate about advocacy and strategic legal problem-solving, this is an excellent opportunity to handle a broad and interesting caseload from pre-action to enforcement.

This role will be working between the Taunton and Wellington offices.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing a diverse caseload across a range of litigation matters
• Drafting legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence
• Representing clients at court hearings, mediations, and settlement meetings
• Providing clear, commercially focused legal advice
• Collaborating closely with colleagues across the firm
• Contributing to business development and client relationship initiatives
• Staying up to date with the latest developments in litigation law and practice

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent jurisdiction)
• Minimum of 5 years’ PQE with solid litigation experience
• In-depth knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Commercially minded with a client-first approach
• Confident in negotiations and advocacy

It’s a Plus If You Have

• Experience in commercial litigation and property disputes
• Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution methods
• A track record in business development
