Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Defending companies and company directors facing investigation and criminal prosecution by regulatory bodies.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
- Liaise with clients, regulators, and experts to gather information and evidence.
- Attend client premises, police stations and court hearings as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
What will help you succeed in this role?
- Be a Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 1 years' PQE in Health & Safety Law. Applicants who have experience of Prosecution or Defence work are welcome.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
