Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Solution Architect to join our Newborns Team at Genomics England. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting scalable technology solutions while ensuring alignment with business needs.
You will make key technical decisions, contribute to documentation and proof-of-concept development, and collaborate with engineering teams, Delivery Managers, domain architects, and product owners to clarify requirements and develop solution options.

- Proven experience in architecting solutions within public cloud platforms (AWS).
- Strong technical background with the ability to make strategic technical choices.
- Skilled in designing solutions and making key architectural decisions.
- Ability to frame design solutions and align them with business needs.
- Comfortable working across both business and technology domains.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with strong soft skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience in developing cloud-based solution architectures across application, data, infrastructure, and security domains.
- Understanding of microservices architecture patterns.
- Knowledge of key considerations in architecting digital products.
- Familiarity with architecture methodologies and governance frameworks.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
- TOGAF Certified
