The Architecture team at ScottishPower is responsible for providing technology services across all UK businesses. This includes solution architecture, technology evaluation, and strategic group alignment. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in influencing key architectural decisions and ensuring group alignment through industry trend analysis and business engagements.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and review architecture of new solutions with a focus on modern-day platform requirements. You'll direct the team in researching, reviewing, and recommending new solutions. Provide architectural guidance on projects ranging from minor initiatives to major multi-million programs. Supporting the yearly IT budget and planning process, analysing solutions and technologies to make recommendations based on organisational needs.
You'll lead product/application evaluation and selection activities, preparing presentations, documents, diagrams, and models to communicate analysis and recommendations. You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand software application needs, whilst working with business and IT managers on the selection, design, development, and implementation of new solutions.
You'll be responsible for Identifying and developing new capabilities through technology trends and vendor collaboration, Defining high-level migration plans to address gaps between current and future states.
