The Modernisation and Upgrades Solutions Manager will be involved in all aspects of quoting project opportunities for the supply & installation of upgrades & enhancements to existing Dematic systems.


Responsibilities to include:


  • Taking over the preparation of quotations for modernization/expansion projects
  • Project processing within the set deadline and budget framework, adherence to the quotation process, synchronization of external and internal milestones
  • Elaboration and analysis of customer requirements (technical), and concept creation in cooperation with the responsible department Instruction or support in the creation of drawings and/or creation of drawings by hand.
  • Arrangement, preparation and implementation of customer workshops
  • Preparation of technical and costing documents
  • Specification, obtaining offers and support or calculation of all trades
  • Supporting sales and sales managers in technical matters as well as supporting and coordinating the specialist departments involved, estimating, layout, electrical engineering, IT, purchasing, project management, legal, PM, simulation, engineering, installation, etc.
  • Coordination with IT, electrical engineering, and project management regarding commissioning procedures, performance acceptance, coordination regarding acceptance and ramp-up support
  • Ideally project experience with strong cost, time and quality awareness
  • Experience in the logistics sector is desirable
  • Customer experience – ability to interpret and understanding customer needs.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Good communication skills, able to work across functional levels and geographical boundaries
  • Ability to work in a team, change and problem-solving skills as well as analytical working methods
  • Constructive conflict management, high level of personal responsibility and assertiveness
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
  • Good command of written and spoken English (other languages advantageous)
