The Urology department at PRH has expanded with the new Urology Investigation and Treatment Centre (UITC).
The role involves supporting the Urology team by providing professional ultrasound services and performing Lithotripsy (ESWL) for renal and ureteric stones.
The post holder will work to support the Urology team and the Lead Sonographer in the provision of a professional ultrasound service. They will need to be able to perform and report independently on a wide range of ultrasound examinations. They will be required to perform Lithotripsy (extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy - ESWL), for the treatment of renal and ureteric stones, for which they should have a willingness to learn and training will be given as necessary.
You must be enthusiastic with excellent communication skills in order to liaise effectively with the multi-disciplinary teams and strive to provide high standards of care. You will be highly motivated and dedicated to your role and own personal developmen. Ideally you would have experience in urology or cancer settings.
