Sourcing Specialist – 12 Month FTC

We’re recruiting for a Souring Specialist to join us on a 12 month FTC. We’re offering a competitive base salary and good benefits package.

Our Group Procurement team launched a 3-year transformation strategy in 2023 and secured investment in people and systems to deliver the vision of creating a Procurement Centre of Excellence for Legal and General.

We are embedding category management and innovative sourcing strategies and partnering with stakeholders to become a strategic enabler for the business.

This role involves undertaking sourcing activities to maximise value and manage risks, while supporting stakeholders across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing requisition queues and purchase order approvals
• Undertaking spend analysis to identify anomalous spend and opportunities
• Planning and executing allocated sourcing activities
• Producing project reports and other MI in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensuring records are kept in accordance with requirements and expectations
• Acting as the initial point of contact for new procurement enquiries
• Providing prompt, professional support to internal stakeholders
• Carrying out all sourcing activity in line with Consumer Duty accountability
  
  

Who we’re looking for:

• Excellent organisation skills
• Some experience across Marketing, HR and Legal categories would be advantageous but not essential
• Ability to deal confidently with issues and resolve or escalate as appropriate
• Able to work independently without close supervision
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to produce reports and presentations in a well-structured way
• Numerate and able to handle data analysis activity
• Experience of sourcing systems and administrative practices preferred
• Close attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
