Job Overview

To participate in the elective and emergency surgery take of colorectal and upper gastrointestinal firms in a busy district general hospital.

Main duties of the job

The post allows access to laparoscopic and robotic surgery. The position also aligns as a UK training post. Opportunities to attend theatre lists, clinic, endoscopy and ERCP are provided.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

Lead educational supervisor – Miss Anna Sharrock (clinical tutor)

Clinical supervisor UGI surgery – Mr Raj Veeramootoo (CS)

Clinical supervisor colorectal surgery – Mr Henry Dowson (CS)

Frimley Park Hospital is a busy district general hospital. The fellowship comprises of upper and lower gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery. Both offer access to theatre including laparoscopic and robotic lists. Additional training in endoscopy and ERCP is available and it is expected that the fellow will participate in clinics.

The hospital and operates an on call emergency general surgery block, and it is expected that the fellow will participate in a full elective and emergency rota.
