Description
Calling all Band 6 Dietitians!

1.0 wte Band 6 Rotational Dietitian (Cross site)

We have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 dietitian to enhance their skills in our rotational program.

As part of our Band 6 rotational program, you will have the opportunity to gain fantastic experience in all aspects of dietetics including nutrition support and complex enteral feeding.

Rotations include: acute medicine at RSCH and PRH, major trauma, neuro, stroke, gastro and renal. It is possible the rotations may expand further in the future. The majority of the rotations are on the Brighton site.

You will work very closely with the senior dietitians who will support your training and development. We hold regular clinical update sessions, that would count towards your CPD. This post offers you fantastic experience & support from the team across many complex dietetic specialities.

We are passionate about training student dietitians, research and audit and have a robust development programme for you.

Informal visits or discussions about the role are very welcome.

You will provide specialist advice, education and support to patients, carers and other health professionals and will play a key role in the nutritional management of these patients.

You’ll need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and workload and that of other members of staff within a supportive team. Experience of nutritional support and evidence of a varied clinical experience is desirable.

In addition you will actively be involved in the trust’s clinical governance programme and quality framework agenda by taking lead responsibility for ensuring continuing professional development, audit and research activities within this specialist area.

You will also be involved in supporting supervising junior dietitians and students.

At UHSussex, diversity is our strength, and we want you to feel included to help us always put the Patient First. Your uniqueness and experiences will be part of our creative and innovative community where everyone is encouraged to succeed. We have a range of Staff Networks to help break down barriers, and can offer a buddy to help new members settle in. From the moment you start with us and throughout your career we will help you to grow and develop. We hope that in choosing UHSussex you are choosing a long and happy career where you will be able to see the difference you make and feel valued for all that you do.

We look forward to receiving your application and the start of your journey with UHSussex.
