Salary: £36K - £42K depending on experience

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

Location: Taunton

About the role:

Working in a private purpose built 75 bed hospital in Wellington (Somerset) for men and women with mental health problems. Leading group therapeutic group sessions, helping people develop and improve their speech and communication. Building one-to-one rapport with service users, you will encourage engagement and empower recovery.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

• Assessment and treatment of dysphagia
• manage a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
• Undertaking audits and contributing to research in the provision of treatments.
• Utilise specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and to generate appropriate strategies for caseload management.

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

• HCPC registration
• Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia
• Experience of working with families
