We are excited to offer a position within Ward 9 – Respiratory Medicine at Wexham Park Hospital, part of the Medicine Directorate.
Ward 9 has 38 beds specialising in the care of patients with respiratory conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease (ILD), and more. Our team also provides expert care for patients with tracheostomies, laryngectomies, home NIV machines, and chest drains.
At Wexham Park Hospital, we are committed to professional growth and development. With the support of our dedicated Practice Development Nurse, you will have access to ongoing training and skill enhancement through the nationally recognized Skills Competency Framework.

Main duties of the job
- Provision of nursing care for patients with a variety of acute conditions
- Co-ordinating the care of patients across the multi-disciplinary team
- Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual patient care with minimal supervision
- To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that treatments are correctly carried out in accordance with given policy

- Competent in basic life support and IV administration
- Able to prioritise workload (self and others) and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage difficult/ stressful situations
- Effective working with multidisciplinary teams
Special Requirements

- Able to work flexible shifts, weekends and bank holidays as required
