This role is Hybrid and will require office visits a few times a month in Welwyn Garden City.

What will you be doing?
As a Staff Product Owner, you will play a pivotal leadership role, guiding a team of Product Owners and Product Analysts while taking full ownership of the product strategy and development lifecycle for our Retail solutions.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define the overarching vision for multiple products—across both software and hardware. You'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining comprehensive product roadmaps, ensuring that features and solutions are clearly defined, prioritized, and effectively communicated to engineering teams. Additionally, you'll work to ensure that support teams are fully prepared to deliver exceptional service for new products and enhancements.
Your leadership will extend beyond your immediate team, as you'll actively support the Head of Retail Technology, regularly engaging with senior executives and contributing to high-level strategic initiatives.Key responsibilities include:
Lead the development and maintenance of both inflight and long-term (3-year) roadmaps for our card and terminal platforms—spanning software and hardware. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align product plans with business goals and support strategic financial planning.
Act as the key liaison for stakeholders, managing incoming initiatives, addressing roadmap-related queries, and resolving prioritization conflicts to ensure alignment across teams.
Take a hands-on approach in leading complex or high-impact initiatives, especially those outside of existing plans. Set the standard for scoping, requirements gathering, and delivery across the product team.
Ensure product requirements and acceptance criteria are well-defined and refined with both internal and external engineering teams. Manage daily priorities, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure support teams are fully equipped to handle new products and features.
Manage and support the Product Owners and Analysts, providing clear direction, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and championing their professional growth and development.
Own and continuously evolve the accreditation process for new retail groups integrating with PayPoint, ensuring it remains robust, effective, and scalable.
Encourage collaboration and knowledge exchange between Product Owners and Analysts to balance workload and improve efficiency—especially during fluctuating demand periods.
