The Job Role
You will work closely with a team of Stock Control Operatives to ensure that all stock control measures are in place and accurately followed. As well as supporting and monitoring the work of the team, you will also complete your own stock control tasks, including investigating discrepancies.
Responsibilities
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
- Monitoring stock levels including stock takes and real time stock quantities
- Consolidating stock on the daily basis
- Recording all stock control transactions and keeping WMS up to date
- Working closely with all warehouse departments, finance, customer service and the internal auditor
- Daily cycle counts
- Ensuring no damaged product remains on the shelf in stock and it’s transferred to damaged or disposal location with relevant system transaction
- Ensuring proper re-check of picked, damaged or disposal, to minimize the short/excess cases
- Dealing with ‘can’t finds’
- Working closely with Customer Service (investigating claims from customers)

Skills
To be successful in this role you will have some of the following skills and experience and the desire to develop in other areas:
- Previous experience within a fast-paced warehouse environment and a good understanding of stock control measures and processes.
- An organised and methodical approach to work.
- Able to follow warehouse processes and procedures.
- Attention to detail, able to complete repetitive tasks to a high standard.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and within a fast paced and high-pressure environment.
- Able to maintain an awareness of their working environment and work to Health and Safety standards.
- Experience with a recognised WMS (Manhattan, Infor, SAP) would be desirable.
