The Opportunity
As the Strategic Brand Marketing (SBM) Precision Medicine Lead you will be responsible for driving the implementation of commercial Precision Medicine programs supporting Astella’s targeted therapies platform.
This position will report directly into the Head, SBM Precision Medicine (Strategic Brand Marketing - SBM), and will work in close partnership with cross-functional partners including Medical & Development (M&D), Companion Diagnostics (CDx) Partners, Global Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Regulatory, Market Access and other functions to facilitate successful diagnostic launches.
This position can be based in the UK, EU4 major markets or Singapore.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing commercial leadership, support and expertise to Diagnostic Development Teams, Global Brand Teams, Regional & Local Marketing Organisations. Driving the implementation of the diagnostic strategy through a robust marketing plan and support operationalisation at the affiliate level.
- Acting as an SME supporting affiliate marketing and medical teams with their launch planning. Engaging with Affiliate teams (Marketing, and Medical) to customise strategy and tactics to fit the needs of the market
- Driving internal education around precision medicine landscape, benchmarking and contribute to developing internal capabilities as part of the Global Precision Medicine Ecosystem program.
- Leading commercial evaluation of companion diagnostics platforms, actively seek new products/technologies, effectively partner and foster key collaboration with appropriate industry, academics, and government partners. Support and lead agency relationships, workflow, and related expense budgets.
- Ensure adherence to Astellas policies relating to Ethics and Compliance standards and interactions with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organisations (HCOs) and Patient Organisations (POs).
Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Demonstrable Diagnostic / Medical Device / Pharma marketing experience within Oncology.
- Diagnostic launch experience.
- Technical understanding of diagnostic technologies.
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry.
- Proven strategic thinking skills to create a robust business case, analyse commercial and business information and devise strategy.
Preferred Experience/ Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Ph.D in Life Science, MBA, Medical, or Pharmacy).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, Molecular Biology or other scientific discipline or equivalent.

- This is a permanent full-time position.
- This position can be based in the UK, EU4 major markets or Singapore.
- This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 1 day per quarter in our local office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
