About the Team:

We are a growing multinational procurement team at Bauer Media, currently spanning Hamburg, the UK, and Poland. As we continue to expand, we focus on optimizing procurement processes, driving savings, and supporting the business across various categories.

Job Purpose:

As a Strategic Buyer, you will play a key role in shaping our procurement practices. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and implement procurement strategies that enhance efficiency and drive business growth. Working closely with internal teams, you will ensure supply chain resilience and identify new sourcing opportunities through market research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce procurement policies and procedures.
• Lead RFI, RFP, and RFQ activities and present clear outcomes.
• Negotiate mid to high-value contracts, securing competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Conduct market research to identify and negotiate with potential suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage relationships, and implement strategies for improvement.
• Use analytics to forecast trends, identify risks, and drive procurement strategies.
• Oversee contract management, including renewals and amendments, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

What we are looking for:

• Procurement experience with a proven track record.
• Familiar with procurement principles and contract negotiation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in media industry or specific commodity focus is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint. ERP/SAP4Hana experience is a bonus.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
• CIPS certification is advantageous.
