Overview
The Strategy & Corporate Development Team ("S&CD") is responsible for planning and executing strategic initiatives for Hayfin with a focus on driving growth and profitability. The team collaborates directly with Hayfin's Co-CEOs and business unit leaders to identify, assess and initiate high-impact projects related to growth (e.g. M&A, capital raising, partnerships, new product explorations), profitability (e.g. team and process design).
This is a newly created position, at a time of pivotal growth for Hayfin, after successful completion of a Management Buy Out in 2025. You will be based in our central London head office, alongside the S&CD Director, operating with a global remit.
Responsibilities
- Preparing presentations, analyses and recommendations for senior management
- Working with internal partners and external advisors (e.g. banks, accountants, consultants and lawyers) on transformational growth initiatives
- Building and maintaining financial models
- Supporting the planning and implementation of new lines of businesses and strategic transactions
- Preparing regular business performance materials, including quarterly Board meeting materials and key performance indicator dashboards
- Becoming an expert on Hayfin and the alternative asset management industry; gathering and synthesising information related to market intelligence and industry trends
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of experience at a top-tier investment bank, investment management firm, strategy consulting firm, corporate development team or Big 4 firm
- Strong quantitative, financial modelling and analytical skills
- Sound written and oral communication skills
- Financial services (particularly asset management) industry experience preferred
- Interest in business strategy and corporate development
- High level of intellectual curiosity with a desire to develop and implement innovative solutions to sophisticated business challenges
- Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
- Adept at interacting with senior stakeholders, both internal and external
