Job Purpose
We’re looking for a strong leader to drive the delivery of a major Totex programme within Water Services. This high-impact role will oversee the strategic water plan, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and reporting across both base and enhancement programmes for the AMP.
You’ll lead the alignment of priorities across capital and IRE spend, support delivery teams across infrastructure and non -infrastructure assets and play a key role in optimising performance and efficiency. As Strategy Delivery Manager you will also play a key part in shaping commercial relationships with delivery partners and influencing long-term investment decisions that benefit our customers and communities.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Translate strategic plans into integrated county-level approaches that optimise investment and drive performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities by diving driving efficiency and reducing duplication across teams.
- Partner with Water Framework and Non-Core Delivery managers to ensure successful, inclusive delivery of projects and programmes.
- Support fair decision-making through clear governance that reflects the diverse needs of each county.
- Provide strategic oversight of budgets and resource planning, ensuring optimal allocation to deliver performance targets and maximise return on investment.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with County Business Leaders to align Totex priorities with regional performance needs.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and programme levels, delivering business outcomes in complex and fast-paced environments.
- Extensive experience in leading and driving programmes including translating organisational strategies into effective departmental plans and budgets.
- Robust commercial acumen, ideally gained through managing large-scale contracts and partnerships with third-party providers or internal delivery teams.
- Strong leadership capability with a track record of building, developing and motivating high-performing teams across internal and external organisations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the business.
