We are currently seeking an experienced Streetworks Coordinator to join our dynamic team based in Luton. This role is to manage and coordinate streetworks projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and minimising disruption to the public. You’ll liaise with local authorities, contractors, and stakeholders to secure permits, plan works, and oversee execution.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage streetworks activities including roadworks, excavations, and repairs, ensuring full compliance with NRSWA, TMA, and local authority regulations.
- Liaise with councils, utility companies, contractors, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Submit permit applications and manage the notice process, ensuring deadlines and conditions are met.
- Coordinate traffic management plans, including temporary road closures and diversions, to maintain safety and reduce impact on the public.
- Monitor works on site to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and permit conditions.
- Communicate with internal teams and external parties to provide updates on progress and respond to public enquiries or complaints.
- Maintain accurate records of all streetworks activities, including permits, inspections, and incidents.
- Prepare regular reports to track performance, identify issues, and support continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in streetworks coordination, highways, utilities, or related project management roles.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices, including NRSWA and TMA.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and streetworks or project management systems.
- Understanding of traffic management and site safety requirements.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites and attend meetings as needed.
