London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post of Student Affairs Case Coordinator to join their highly skilled Student Affairs Team.
The Team is responsible for managing and investigating a variety of different student cases relating to complaints, appeals, and student conduct.
This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to take a lead role in the coordination of student casework, ensuring that all cases progress as per the relevant procedures, and be involved in the investigations and decision making of such cases. The postholder will need to manage student expectations for each process ensuring that University academic regulations and relevant external codes of practice and legislation are being followed. The role enables collaboration and good working relationships with colleagues from all Schools and Professional Service groups across the University, as well as with the Office of the Independent Adjudicator.
About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
- Experience of undertaking complex administration and tasks.
- Ability to work on a wide variety of different issues and communicate complex ideas and issues clearly.
- Experience providing guidance and advice on complex student matters.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to deal sensitively with enquires from a diverse range of individuals and organisations.
- Ability to de-escalate and manage potentially difficult situations calmly and with confidence.
The ideal candidate will be educated to Level 3 (or equivalent) or above, be highly motivated and bring a thorough understanding of handling complex issues and casework. Experience in the higher education sector and dealing with student complaints, appeals and conduct matters is highly desirable.
